Reading some of these opines reassures me that I wouldn't trust a bible thumpers withy lunch money.

Me and my god and saviour have a deal and it is just between us.

Josephus a secular historian who lived just after the time of Christ referred to Jesus as a "doer of wonderful deeds". Indeed because he had his religion correct and boom he had the power. Just like electricity. Complete a circuit and connect it to a power supply (God) and all kinds of good things can happen.
