From a relative perspective...
My dad's Win M97 when I was about 8 or 9.
He initially said NO, but I persisted. I still have the gun. Miss the old man!

BTW, I've been banned on the sandni@@er's site. Lolol....I’ve never frequented his place and have absolutely no plans to. You’re an even keeled, cool headed guy that adds “value” by virtue of your contributions, at least here. WTF did they ban you? Is that video really from Saeeds place (home or whatever)?

50 BMG Big bore (medium and small) Weatherby rifles Various flavors of .40+ caliber safari rifles in bolts and Ruger #1’s
Actually there aren’t many that I haven’t tried through the years. I had a place to shoot in my old shop so test fires were common either as a way to diagnose issues or to satisfy curiosity.
In my opinion the big bores were more comfortable to shoot than some of the smaller magnums BUT I found that stock design and fit was as much (or more) of a factor in perceived recoil than the cartridge itself.

Buddy had a 20" barreled. 338 win mag that he spent a boat load of money on to lighten up. Don't know what it weighs, but it's a bear off a bench. Doesn't hurt, but feels like it's trying to jump out of your hands. Offhand or from a standing rest, it ain't too bad.
