1.75" yesterday at the home place south of Wichita rained all night and still raining now. Flood warnings on a couple of creeks and small rivers. Gonna need to start mowing when it warms up.

Got a nice rain here in north Texas last night. My retentive self was out there clearing all the live oak droppings that had compacted in the downspouts. Lightning, bare feet, metal ramrod, metal ladder.....what could go wrong?

Seen from "The Bad Seed" came to mind.

We are lined up for 6 to 10 in over the next 3 days. The first line in about 30 min just in time for rush hour. Let the crash fest begin.

Just right here. Snow melted, mud dried up, putting footers in as quick as we can. Grass is greening up. Have onions popping up already. Hoping to hunt mushrooms this weekend so some overnight rains with warmer nights would be a welcome.

Been getting some sorely needed wet show, here.
Melting from underneath, then later in the day, just totally melts.
No idea how much moisture - but pretty decent.
(rain gauges will freeze and break for a while yet)
Supposed to get some more tonight and tomorrow - dunno how much, and the forecasters are just guessing this time of year. smile
I think 1 1/2 to 2 feet would be ideal. (Hear me Lord?)
We've already had as much, or more, moisture on parts of the place than we got all last year! Thanks, Lord!

Is that what happens on the schitter about 8 hours after a dozen wings covered in blazin hot sauce and chased down with a sixer of cheap beer?
