Sitting watching over dekes in the back corner..... Birds been getting rained on most of the night. They might hit the fields and shake off like dogs... Aint heard a bird yet or "Frank Cannon" out trying to locate a bird with any type of call to run and gun and get set up on.

I set up on fly down areas, which can bite ya in the azz if hens lead em away 180 opposite. I deke hunt I set up hooches inside woodlines over watching feilds in popcorn thunderstorms when no others dare hunt. I hunt rain filled pollywog ruts in roads when tracks reveal turkeys are hitting them as food source,s I hunt dusting areas. I hunt strut zones I hunt evenings set up on known roosting trees when they come back to em, if they get to the wing they get a free pass Next morning fly down hunt the roost tree or trees I hunt bugging fields. Anything I know about an animals nature to include WTD. I will use to hunt them..... I use every aspect of the a animals nature and habits against them. I wont be judged by a "purist" who proclaims their way is the only way. That schitt is TFF in my mind.... They give up to easily IMO at 830 9 am every morning if they cant call a bird in That has gotta suck not knowing much about what your game does thruout the day and giving up. To me the " purist" lack knowledge of the animal and how to use that knowledge is a shame.... Basically a hunting cripple stuck on one thing, the only thing they know from sheer ignorance or laziness. Pellet counts and the reach out and touch one factor.. Has accounted for many a locked up bird for me over the years. 57 yds furthest 7 yds closest By whatever method I was using the dead bird in the pickup bed versus going home empty handed is what matters to me...
