I would compare everything you're interested in to a CZ 457 and go from there. To me, they are the benchmark. You can spend more (Anschutz, Bergara, Vudoo) or about the same (Savage, Tikka) but IMO thats the starting point.
Work is what you do to finance your real life.....

So you are saying that the CZ is better than the Tikka accuracy wise, good to know as I really could not decide.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I havent owned a 457 but a 455, my tikka runs circles around the 455.

I have been kicking around a T1Xs in 22lr BUTT prefer a wood stock -2nd is a T-Bolt w/NICE wood
I have a set of Maple stock T-Bolts unfired just too nice to shoot
The Voodoo with the UGLY magazine are not 4 me--I much prefer my 40X Repeater

Earlier I was considering the Tikka 1 or CZ . I went with the Tikka 22 long rifle. Be sure and get the replacement trigger spring.

I've been saving up for a long time now to get a .22 revolver. Not sure what I'm gonna go with yet and I still might convince myself to get an auto pistol instead.

I have one with a 4 inch barrel and dam that is a heavy gun. i much prefer my K22 with a 6 inch barrel

As soon as I see a left-handed T1X in 22LR, on the rack, I plan to snag it for my 11-year-old son. He's right-handed, but left-eye dominant.

I'm thinking along the lines of a tack driving rifle. Maybe something built just the way I want it with a medium heavy fluted barrel and a nice piece of wood. Probably a 22LR but won't rule out a 17 In rifles .. looking at the Christensen Ranger. It has the features I want. A buddy has handled one and suggests I wouldn't be happy with it so I should see and handle one before buying. That's hard to do today. Might build a 10/22 but I'm really in the mood for a bolt action. Handguns .. I just picked up a S&W "Classic" K-22 / model 17. I just mounted a scope today and plan to test some ammo on my next range trip. Thinkin' about a 4-5/8" or 5-1/2" barreled Single Six next. Tom
