Now we’re talkin!
You don’t necessarily need Lapua to reap the benefits tho..
You have any SK? Hell just shoot any decent ammo and you’ll be gettin happy

I don't like the RAR rifles (centerfires), but, handled an RAR 22lr #8301, today and it's going to be, or one like it, coming home with me... It'll get threaded. A selling point is the magazine for sure. I pretty much dislike every other rimfire magazine ever encountered. The chincy stock seems right at home on a 22. LOL Also piecing together a heavy barrel Frankin 10-22.

This was "my next rimfire" that I just put together. Sold the factory synthetic stock and barrel on ebay for $170.00 to recoup some of the cost of the new stock and barrel. Pretty good shooter now though. It is not finicky about what I feed it either. The Kidd barrel is a great barrel for the money.

Kind of watching for a 1956 flat gate Ruger SS, and a Winchester 22 pump model 270, but not looking hard enough to pay Gun Broker prices.

Out of the clear blue a Kimber Hunter Classic and 2 Sako P94S are on their way to my house. Didn't see that coming, but they are now my "next rimfire".

I just received mine a week ago as well. I bought a Ravage model with a 20" MTU contour barrel.

Shot it last weekend and can honestly say, I have never shot any rifle as accurate as this. I've had some very nice rimfires in my life, but nothing I've had can shoot like this Ravage. I am probably going to order a Ravin soon in a 17HMR

With full disclosure, I'm sure. If not, that shows what type of person you are..

I have a small amount of SK. I actually have some bulk Lapua Club ammo I bought years ago. It came in a bucket. :-)

Cert,
thats a really nice looking Smith. Esp the Diamond Stocks. I like my Model 18 a lot and it shoots way better than I can.

I used to only shoot shotguns and rimfires, then I made the mistake of getting a subscription to handloader.......

Just bought another S&W 22/32 Kit gun. These old revolvers are quickly becoming addicting LOL

Couple weeks ago I bought an old Mossberg Chuckster 22mag from kcc here on the Fire. Final found 2 piece offset dovetail scope rings for it. Now just fiddling my fingers waiting for them to arrive. With standard dovetail rings the eye relief is too far forward.

Yep. My recent pre-M43 Airweight buy. I am thinking about a range trip with all of my J-frame RF's this week.

GSPfan: Had occasion over the last 4 weeks to shoot/Hunt with three different 17 WSM Rifles owned by my Varminting friends.
I was so impressed with the accuracy of all three and the lethality of the cartridge in the field I guess I am going to have to "keep up with the Jones's" and get one of my own?
Shot the Volquartsen 17 WSM with high power variable scope and it was OUTSTANDING - but I won't be paying those big dollars for one!
Also shot a whoop-de-do AR platform 17 WSM (I think it was Franklin Arms or Franklin Armory manufactured?) with heavy barrel - the rapid fire and accuracy were again most impressive to me, and surprising.
The third Rifle in 17 WSM I got to use was a good old Ruger 77/17 WSM with heavy barrel.
I think I will seek out one of these - it shot VERY well afield (no range time).
AND.... I keep seeing 17 WSM ammo on the shelves around here - this is a motivating factor for me?

VarmintGuy sounds like you have a definite plan. I would opt for the Ruger 77/17 also.
