I even had it bifurcated on the head... An à la carte item chosen at your bris? One side for you the other for skank. No need for you two to fight over it. There’s plenty enough for both of you.

Looks like three didn’t get invited back.
“Chief Bob Ticer announced that three officers involved in the arrest or booking of 73-year-old Karen Garner are no longer employed by the department.
Officer Austin Hopp Officer Daria Jalali Community service officer Tyler Blackett Ticer did not specify if the officers were fired or resigned, but he said he was involved in that "process."”

I hope that they got fired, but probably not. So many times, officers "resign" so that they don't have a bad work history. If they are fired and law enforcemnt credentials cancelled, it's harder for them to get another job.

Are “they” still pursuing a criminal investigation, or has that ended with this?
If they are indicted, will their tax payer funded Union, still pay for their defense now that they have left the department?

Maybe some short term lessening of public criticism, but this is not going away. A federal lawsuit was already filed. From the article: The Loveland Police Chief announced personnel changes Friday after the department was accused in a federal lawsuit of forcefully arresting and injuring an elderly woman with dementia last summer. and “We failed and we are very sorry for that,” Ticer said. "What you saw on the video was not the Loveland Police Department. It hurt to see that.”

The small portion of that video I did watch made me sick.
I would kill that [bleep] dead, or at least make him wish he was, if that was my Mother. All that needs to be said. Oh there's a ringing fughkin endorsement...

All four are now on administrative leave. I suspect at least one won’t be invited back. Are they on leave because of what they did, or because We The People found out. I suspect the latter. After going back and re-reading the OP, I have answered my own question. This happened almost a year ago, June 2020. For almost a year these cops remained on duty and were allowed to continue to “ Protect and Serve”. Only after the video was posted on YouTube by the family’s attorney did the department act. Almost a year later. Doesn’t say much for the Department does it.

LOL I don’t really know, I don’t find myself in situations where I have to interact with them. My next door neighbor is a cop, nice guy, young, hot girl friend who likes the sun, if you know what I mean. My last permit to carry instructor is retired LE, he is also my FFL for online firearm purchase. Nice guy, likes to talk, mostly about politics . Other than that, I don’t know if they are ass holes or not.

Protesters in Loveland, but nothing was burned nor looted. In a press conference earlier this week, the police chief said he didn't hear about Karen Garner's injuries until after the lawsuit was filed. His department is out of control, and he is clueless. He should be gone too. Looks like Walmart could have de-escalated it too but failed. https://www.9news.com/article/news/.../73-c7081ec1-e2ae-42cd-822b-228c866b3315Protesters call for charges for Loveland officers after Karen Garner arrestLOVELAND, Colo. — People gathered Saturday afternoon at the Loveland Police Department to demand criminal charges for the officers who injured a woman suffering from dementia by forcing her to the ground during an arrest last June. The protest started at noon at Loveland Police headquarters and was organized by Longmont resident Morgan Goldschmidt. "This incident I think really exposed a culture within the police department and that’s something that needs to be addressed all over the nation," Goldschmidt said on Saturday. Organizers of the protest asked participants to wear purple to support those who suffer from elder abuse and to come "armed with flowers." Karen Garner, 73, was picking flowers when officers arrested her. RELATED: 'We failed and we are very sorry': 3 Loveland police employees no longer with department after Karen Garner arrest Loveland resident Valerie Lutes carried a purple umbrella in honor of Garner. Sewn to the edges of the umbrella were hand-written signs that called for justice. "When I saw the video I was angry and disappointed and so sad," Lutes said. "Everybody has a grandma, everybody has a mom. We’ve seen it happen all over the place and it just hits home." Garner sustained multiple injuries during her arrest, according to a civil lawsuit filed in the case. It says she was left for hours at the jail without medical attention despite having obvious injuries. Loveland Police Chief Bob Ticer said Friday that the department no longer employs three employees involved in the arrest and booking of Garner: Officer Austin Hopp Officer Daria Jalali Community service officer Tyler Blackett Ticer did not specify whether the employees were fired or resigned, but he said he was involved in that "process" along with human resources at the department. Tom Hacker, a spokesperson for the Loveland Police Department, later confirmed to 9Wants to Know that the three employees had resigned. “We failed, and we are very sorry for that,” Ticer said. "What you saw on the video was not the Loveland Police Department. It hurt to see that.” Garner was arrested last summer while walking home along Mountain Lion Road after visiting a nearby Walmart where she had attempted to leave without paying for about $14 worth of items, the lawsuit says. Walmart employees escorted her back inside and took the items, which Garner offered to pay for, but the employees refused, the lawsuit says. A Walmart spokesman said Garner escalated the situation, forcing employees to call police. Footage of Garner's arrest on June 26, 2020, was released by attorney Sarah Schielke, who filed a federal civil rights lawsuit on behalf of Garner. The lawsuit alleges that Garner was forcibly pushed to the ground and that during the arrest she suffered multiple injuries including a broken arm and dislocated shoulder. Schielke released a second video she said shows the three arresting officers watching body camera video of Garner's arrest, laughing and celebrating the excessive force, and fist-bumping the fact that one of the officers intimidated a citizen who had stopped to make a complaint. On Saturday protesters marched to the Loveland Police Department. The group chanted for the dismissal of Police Sergeant Phil Metzler, Chief Ticer and Loveland City Manager Stephen Adams. Once protesters arrived at the police department, they placed flowers at the front doors in honor of Garner. "Today is the start my friends, it’s not the end," one speaker bellowed. "We’ve got a lot of work to do. We’ve got a lot of work to do." The Larimer County District Attorney's Office announced there would be an independent investigation of the incident.

Get rid of the police union and have Citizen's review boards for these cases. Let the people decide what is right and wrong in their own communities. After all the police are public servants that work for the people.
