The Fugging 1st exorcist movie. Me Louie Doucette Billy Bell 3rd grade 9 or 10 yrs old. Got in the line . Paid our admission. No questions asked about R movie and kids going in. Popcorn, cokes. Scared schitless once the graphic scenes started But we had rock star status at school telling all the other kids about the movie.
Occasional nightmares from it for a couple yrs after. 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

There are no scary movies if you know it's a movie. Not one.
However, there are many terrifying things going on in this country and around the world that should get people on their feet and doing something about it!
But the cowards just watch scary movies to take their minds off reality.
Booo........ Have you ever considered reading your own posts out loud? Perhaps then you would realize how really dull they are. mike r If you think I care about anything you have to say about me, you just aren't thinking. But thanks for your continuously negative post that no one reads or cares about.
We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

Have you seen the elephant in the big show??? 👍👍👍👍👍 for guys that have seen the elephant. Nothing but respect for em actually. Look up what " seen the elephant" means in reference to its use during the civil war. If you have seen the elephant yourself. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I will think different of you then also.

It was for keeping our men we seen as brothers and sons alive the best we could. And many of you know . Schitt just happens sometimes. If its your time, aint nothing can be done about it We will all see one another on fiddlers green again anyways. Fugging spring allergies............

IMO, the 'best' horror movie of all time, by a wide margin, is The Shining, (1980).
Next up would probably be The Exorcist (1973), then, maybe, The Amityville Horror (1979).
Scariest would probably have to Night of the Living Dead (1968), mostly because I watched it when I was a youngster and it scared the Tarnation out of me - but I watched it through to the end.

Not a movie, but Night Gallery (1969-1973), was fairly scary when I was a youngster.

Unfortunately, not a movie.
Progressives are the most open minded, tolerant, and inclusive people on the planet, as long as you agree with everything they say, and do exactly as you're told.

C.H.U.D. Cannibalistic Human Underground Dwellers. A classic.
1968 Planet of the Apes. Rod Serling wrote a good part of the screenplay, and the whole movie feels like a two hour Twilight Zone episode.

The scariest horror movie for me was "The Shining". The overall scariest, depressing, disturbing and haunting made for the masses movie ever for me was "Sophie's Choice".

The Blob scared Boomers pretty bad. LOL Mothra dude, Mothra. I hated moths for years after seeing that as a little kid. Fuggin turn the light off in here, it's drawing moths. No need for a night light in my room. The Mothman Prophecies was loosely based on real occurrences supposedly. 🦫 Mothman is creepy as Schitt. Call it a Harpie, or whatever you want, that shchittbird’s been hanging around as long as the written word. I’ll second the Burnt Offerings motion. The Amityville Horror lit my lamp pretty bad. Everyone has covered the rest. Maybe forgot Rosemary’s Baby.

Im not following the rules here but WTH, this was a 1966 film. Ive been a horror film lover from way back. The first horror movie I saw that really scared the hell out of me was "The Frozen Dead" with Dana Andrews. Saw it at the drive in, I was around 12-13. I hadnt seen it again until last year and recorded it....wasnt so scary now and kinda dumb. Anybody else get scared by this one?

Helter Skelter scaret me. I was young. The Manson murders scared the hell out of me that August 1969 morning I showed up at work at a little gas station store I worked at and my boss showed me the headlines.
