I'd run from that car and I own a Mercedes GL series. Wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. One of my tenants is a Mercedes Tech with all the certs. I've heard when they started building them in Alabama, they started having problems. They've never been built anywhere else.

If it's just you and the dog, I wouldn't even bother with a full size truck. I'd get a midsize. You would get a lavender Prius. Only you would think of something like that. This '03 LX 470 18+ years old.........have completely gone through AZ native.....195K miles.....no rust.......leather interior is spotless...runs as smooth as silk Just broke in ! ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/fyQ18z2.jpg) Beauty! I am thinking about ordering the Escalade. For the last 10 years I have been driving a 4x4 F-150 and before that it was a 250 with the V-10 engine. I am pretty much out of the horse business so pulling a goose-neck is no longer a consideration.
I find myself wanting luxury and creature comforts so have thought about several options. ie the Escalade, fully loaded, the Lincoln Navigator or an Expedition Platinum. 4x4 is a must and I would usually be traveling by myself w/ one dog, sometimes another person but rarely. I need enough room for some canvas tentage and camping and fishing/hunting gear but that would not take up that much space.
Am in the research stage right now and would be grateful if anyone here had any experience with a later model Escalade.

e No more Cadillacs for me. No more luxury than a Yukon and about twice the expense on parts. Doesn't matter how rich you are, it doesn't make good sense.

Save some money and get a fully loaded Yukon Denali or Tahoe instead. They will be just as luxurious and cheaper to maintain (Cadillac dealers charge more for service and parts because, they can).
You pay a lot for the Cadillac badge. It is only a status symbol. If he wasn't interested in that, he wouldn't be looking at a pimpmobile. And making sure we all know about it. Be sure to get some spinners.

If you should be millionaire to drive an Escalade, how much should you be making to drive a $60k pickup? . A pick up can be a tool for a trade. I don’t spend 60k on a pickup. . Agreed on the million. I say that because I bet 90% of Escalade owners aren’t.

If you want to stay with GM, the GMC Yukon ultimate Denali is a better value with very similar luxury. The Cadilac name demands a premium price that it doesn't really match in features.

For quite a few years the Escalade ranked as the most stolen vehicle in America. It's also common for parts to be stolen from it.
It's been bumped down from #1 in recent years but I'd still watch where I parked one and keep it garaged when at home.
So, anyway it's got that going for it. That is because it is the most popular vehicle in the "hood". PREZACTLY!!!
