I had a co-worker that came in one Monday and told how she'd been mowing the dam at their pond on a Cub Cadet over the weekend and managed to lose traction. She drove it into 20 feet of water. Needless to say, her husband was a tad peeved.

If the grass is wet I keep the heavy zero turn with regular turf tread away from the inclines.

The seat safety switch failed a couple weeks back, I cheated it and finished up. Ordered another that same day. I might cheat one of the "no start" safety loop switches but keep the PTO loop intact.

I sometimes drink when I cut grass.

Sounds like a future episode of Dateline. Does the wife have an alibi? How much was the life insurance policy of the retired doctor?

Yes, you asked two of the three questions.

1. Does the wife have an alibi?
2. How much was the life insurance policy of the retired doctor?

But you left out the third question:

3. Does the wife have a boyfriend?

I believe it said he went through the fence. Maybe dozed off or had heart attack. Maybe it was Tesla mower and went rogue. GD

This is why I have a lawn service... Tough way to go..

A lot of no plumbing crappers built just like that at roadside joints in the elevations of Mexico. Not about to use one of those, and neither would I use one in a house like that.

Not at all uncommon on a ZTR.
We had a lady slide down a bank and flop into a crick a couple years ago.
Drowned.

A co-workers brother took a one week old Kubota ZTR into a pond.
It didn't flop and he got out.

The fuggin things are doing good, everything feels fine.
Then you lose traction on the drives and off you go.

Our yard is on an incline, but not steep, mostly.
The nature of how you mow with them, fast and out and back, coupled
with the traction issue combines to cause issues.
Even on the flatter part of our yard, going downhill, I have reached the end and
been slowing/turning and lost traction. Even just real juicy grass is enough
too make it worse. Surprisingly, hard dry ground is almost as bad.

No big deal for me. The grade is slight, the slide doesn't go far. There
is nothing to hit/fall off. But, if I had a dangerous spot, I wouldn't
drive toward it.
