Huntsman: I sure love my Ruger 77/17 Hornet - it was well worth seeking out!
Used the heavy barrel Ruger 77/17 Hornet a bit this past week by coincidence - fantastic gun.
I know the Ruger 77/17 WSM is NOT going to come about on the cheap, but I have been selling off a bunch of Leupold scopes and I am mad money "buck's up"!
Let me know if you hear of one.

GPSfan: I do indeed have a plan and if doesn't offend herr huntsman to much my plan ALSO includes a heavy barrel Ruger 77/17 Mach2, someday, as well!
So many guns - so little time.

GSPfan: Well a nifty little Glock Model 44 (22 L.R. with 4" barrel & 10 shot magazines) followed me home yesterday!
It came into my local gunshop yesterday and is new in the box - it has been months since he has had one of these shipped to him.
Anyway with snap-caps I tried the trigger (okay!) and at what I consider a good price these days ($365.00 - no sales tax in Montana!) I decided what the heck and cashed it out.
Now to decide which of my hoard of ammunitions to try out first.
Got a gunshow next weekend and still have eyes for the Ruger 77/17 WSM heavy barrel.
Did find an unopened box of CCI "Velocitor" ammo (40 grain CHP hollow-points at 1,435 F.P.S.!) at a sale for $6.00 - never tried these before but those are perky numbers, velocity wise, for a 40 grain L.R. bullet!
Anyone familiar with the CCI Velocitors?

Congrats on the Glock. I have gotten a S&W M18 and another 22/32 Kit gun. Also a M57 4 inch nickel but it's a 41 mag so it doesn't fit in here.
I stumbled across a Winchester 490 as well. It shoots ok but I still want the Cooper.

GSPfan: After harvesting a BUNCH of Varmints both furred and feathered with my firneds 17 WSM Rifles I am looking forward to getting one of my own.
The rotary magazine of the Ruger rimfires just about sell the Rifles all by itself. Stickin to the plan. I am seeing some 17 WSM ammo on shelves that are barren of all other rimfire ammo! I don't know what that is about but its a good sign - I guess?

huntsman22: I am a VERY patient person - don't YOU worry your punkin head off about me little buddy!
I have great hopes for the gunshow I am attending here in a few days.

LGS has an absolutely mint Rem M514 that is tempting me. My best friend as a kid had one.

It's all your fault...if we hadn't been talking about one a while back, I wouldn't have been thinking about one...

I'm gonna have to figure out what barrel length now...

Will either get a Mark IV or Buckmark when I get a chance. Leaning towards the Mark IV due to ease of disassembly, but I hear a lot of really good things about the Buckmark. This would be my first semi-auto 22 pistol.
