‘Tide.. 10 and 6 for reference You guys are a bunch of enablers... I would guess that the FA really are that much better than a Ruger Single Six?

Vudoo vs Savage If you can get the opportunity to hold one, the quality is immediately apparent. Like a Swiss watch when pulling the hammer back.

‘Tide I have a couple or three .22’s and I know you do as well.
I promise you a FA .22 will be an addition to your herd you will not regret.
And I say that taking full well into account the price tag. The quality is evident right off the bat

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to buy a Cooper Custom Classic with a Turkish walnut upgrade in 22 Magnum.

Cert and Robert, you've sold me on it...
Now, I just gotta find the one I want.
There aren't many of them out there from what I can tell.
Have you seen any difference in accuracy between the 83 and the 97.

I like this one, a 1717 Annie (.17 HMR), with vintage 3-9x40 B&L. It really likes CCI 17 gr. TNT's. DF DF

Well, I was throwing that one out as a suggestion for someone's next. Another is my Cooper .22LR with Kahles 2-7 rimfire scope. That combo is hard to beat, that scope is hard to find. Right now, I don't have an itch for another rimfire. But, that's right now. Who knows about tomorrow. DF

I have no desire for another rimfire rifle. The only thing I want to do rimfire wise is put enough bullets through the barrel of my competition silhouette rifle in the next 20 years to wear out the stainless Benchmark barrel and need to re-barrel it. 10 000 rounds a year should do it.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

Well I have a Winchester model 490 bought in the early 70’a when they first came out, recently bought three more, so have to get out and try them all.

Today I picked up a Ruger 77/22 SS Al-Weather with the skeleton stock and iron sights. FedEx had it for several days longer than I wanted. It is a 1996 model and appears unfired.
I found a full body synthetic stock for it and bought it. I also orderered an Ernie's trigger spring. The scope is a Simmons 3-9x32, it will be replaced. Afterthat I will see what I have.
The setup lets me practice for my main CF rifles with a gun that has the same controls, etc. I am stoked.

Mine shot quite well out of the box.

I was wrong - I thought that my next rimfire would be a CZ 457 Lux. It turned out to be a little '20s or '30s era German boys rifle made by Erma. Pawnshop find.
I should have known better than to try to plan my next rimfire....
