92 Mazda minivan - I was a cool kid...

1986 Cutlass Calais in 1993. 105k miles and rusted like it was 30yo at that point. Split the $1000 with my folks and immediately got two jobs once I was mobile. Waxed around the rust and the 2.5L iron duke never gave me a lick of trouble.

Times were so simple back then.

66 ford Falcon Auto with the small six cylinder. Dad got it for me and knew I couldn't do much with the automatic in it. If it hada the three or a four speed I could have won lots of street races. That six has lots of torque. Next was a 67 Mustang fastbaack with 390 4V and an automatic. That one would roar and burn lots of rubber. Had to be careful not to ruin the tires. PA Hick your Dad was a great father for doing that and you learned a valuable lesson. Character is built one brick at a time. EE don't go away angry just go away. But Be Well, RZ.

The year was 1973, I bought a 1967 Dodge Dart GTS.

Hand me down, worked on it as much as I drove it.

I don't think it got any mileage it got yardage.

1965 Corvair Monza had 4 single barrel carbs 140 horsepower.

First was a 1968 Bronco, 289 V-8 and 3 speed standard.

Second was a 1969 Pontiac GTO with a 350HP 400 and automatic.

First 4 wheeler was a '47 Willys Jeep.

1963 Rambler station wagon. The one with 3 seats. I would fill it up with all my friends and go stump jumping in the desert. There was always someone who thought he could ride the roof rack after a few beers. Twas my job to show him how wrong he was.

A '60 Rambler wagon was my second car. Bought it for a hundred bucks. When i got it home I noticed it had a c-clamp holding the differential together.

1958 Mercury station wagon, purchased in 1968 for $25 from a guy who "won" it in a benefit raffle. It had a 430 V-8, push-button automatic transmission, power windows/seats/etc.--and the radio even worked. It had plenty of room in the back for spending down-time with girl friends, and also plenty of seat room for transporting friends around town.

The downside was it got around 4 mpg in town, maybe 6 on the highway. But I offset that by asking friends for a quarter when I gave them a ride--and a gallon of gas was around 27 cents at the time.

My dads 67 f-100. 352 4 speed. Would spin the hell out of 1 tire till I did one to many reverse burnouts. I put a new rearmed in er along with a edelbrock intake, Holley 4 barrel and a set of hedman headers. Still have the ol truck. Plan to rebuild it from the frame up.

1956 Plymouth Belvadere Convertible. The back window zipped out and was perfect for surfboards. The trunk was big enough to hold a dirt bike if you had some help loading it. Cruised the coast from Santa Barbara to La Bufadora riding the hills and surfing the beaches. Those areas were undiscovered in 1963.

1957 Chevy Belair. 2 door sedan, 283, auto.

My Dad bought a 1966 mustang when my older sister started to drive. It passed to me a 1.5 yrs later when I started to drive. Bought my own car. a 1974 mustang at the start of my senior year. My mom still has the 66 mustang and it is being restored right now.

Had side mirrors on both sides. I think that was an option, the only one, besides the posi.

57k miles.
Some kind of rough oxidized green paint.
Wouldn't buff out.
Dad and I did get junkyard parts and give it power steering.

Hated that car.
But I couldn't afford one on my own and the folks were kicking
in some money. So they chose.

If I could buy it today for $800, I'd drive it.
But at 51. IDGAF what I drive as long as it goes, steers, and stops.
