I see that The Road is now free on Prime. Saw it once many years ago. Plan to watch it again tonight. It's about an asteroid impact that results in a mass extinction on earth, and follows a man and his son in their efforts at surviving the aftermath. Clearly, the impact occurred on the far side of the planet from them, or they would have been broiled alive by the ejecta. I recall the man, his wife, and son, were viewing a glowing night sky, which would have been the ejecta from the earth's magma returning to earth from near orbit, and impacting the globe everywhere randomly. Umm, maybe get the book. I think Hollywood missed the whole point that Cormac McCarthy wanted to make. It's like saying the Civil War was about slavery.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

That’s for sure, who the heck recommended Bone Tomahawk? You didn’t like Bone Tomahawk? I thought it was a heartwarming tale. put me off bbq and eating meat for a few days. I think flave originally suggested it

Small Town Crime.
Good cast with John Hawkes from Deadwood and Robert Forster.
Story gets a bit thin at times, but good shootout at the end and some gratuitous justice.
Slaves get what they need. Free men get what they want. Rehabilitation is way overrated. Orwell wasn't wrong. GOA member disappointed NRA member 24HCF SEARCH

I think flave originally suggested it I recommended Bone Tomahawk, and I believe it deserved an Academy Award nomination. Another good flick is The Burrowers. Might be on Prime or Hulu. 🦫

Sons of Sam, a documentary on Netflix that explores the theory that David Berkowitz didn't act alone, but was in fact part of a satanic cult.

The Sting is free on Prime. Excellent movie. Like Oceans Eleven set in the early 1920s.
Also Top Secret is on Prime. Pretty funny movie from the 80s starring a young Val Kilmer.
For science fiction, action, horror, there's Resident Evil, with the "Multipass" chick from The Fifth Element. They also have the first sequel to it. I think there were four sequels in all.

Watched a good survival movie couple of nights ago on Prime called Jungle. True story about some backpackers who get lost in the jungle of Bolivia. Harry Potter kid is the main character. We enjoyed it.

It's about Eastern Galicia in the '30s and how the Poles dealt with the Ukrainians before WWII and how they both dealt with each other after war broke out.
It has English subtitles and is one of the best movies I've seen in a very long while.

Watched Population 436 on Netflix last night on a recommendation from a friend. Afterwards, I called him and asked if he was serious when he said it was a great movie. He maintained that he thought it was.
