The girls and I are a go! Ranger, it will be a pleasure seeing you and the girls again. Have they practiced setting up camp?  Heck no! I am struggling with them cleaning up their room.

This sounds like perfect timing for my annual Baja jaunt. In the area there are a lot of trophy elk, quite a few nice mule deer, a few Coues, plenty of antelope , some wild turkey and javelina here and there and the usual mountain lions, black bear and hybrid wolves. Haven't seen any Baja there.

Haven't seen any Baja there. They are not hard to recognize, they have a Toyota emblem on the hood..

Some of our guys have departed and will be missed [RIP Ben Brown, Thomas (Magnum) Belcher, Greg Cameron], and Dennis is off to Alaska, so Darby, Kent and I are sponsoring another of our interesting SW Campfire summer gatherings.
We will be back in the high ponderosa forest at Armijo Springs in NM for the weekend of July 30 through August 1. Several past participants have expressed their intent to be there. We welcome any good-hearted Campfire folks to join the gang and enjoy the doings.
If you plan to attend, be sure to state your intent here sometime in the next several days. After that, we will go to a PM for all likely attendees in order to complete the planning and prep. If you have questions about the nature of the event and the place, ask here very soon and I will try to answer.
PDW I won’t make it, but I wish you guys the best of weather and memorable fellowship... and pictures, lots of pictures!

This sounds like a lot of fun. I live about an hours drive from the camp but not sure I can make it due to some family plans, but may be able to drive over and back on that Saturday. I'm new to the CF about a year so I've not met anybody in person, just online. Be sure to keep your eye on that kaywoodie guy. He seems a sneaky sort.
