This sounds like a lot of fun. I live about an hours drive from the camp but not sure I can make it due to some family plans, but may be able to drive over and back on that Saturday. I'm new to the CF about a year so I've not met anybody in person, just online. Be sure to keep your eye on that kaywoodie guy. He seems a sneaky sort. Sage advice He is a confirmed reprobate!

For those of us who were unable to attend Ben's memorial gathering, do you think we might be able to hold another?

Ed Hi Ed - yes, some of the best things we anticipate. As for dear Ben and our memories and a replay - you know the scene - we are flexible and accommodating - so the first evening around the fire might be a good time.

Been to Angel Fire twice - chamber music fest one summer, and skiing. The Campfire gathering at Armijo Springs is more fun.

In another day or so, we will note those here who have expressed interest and said they want to be included and then will cease inviting and start prepping. After that point, we will not use this thread any further..
A group PM including all those intended will be used to deal with all planning and shared preparation. Jim, we will deal with the food cooperation through that PM.
If you are figuring on participating and have not yet declared, it would be best to do so soon. Thanks.

Well, my wife says she plans on being there, with or without me....
but since she has no idea where Quemado is, I guess you better expect me once again....also.

Quemado lake camp ground near by may have hookups, I think I remember they did but it was a long time ago. Kent

Hi. It would be very good if you could join the fun. In addition to the possibility noted above by Kent, there has been an RV setup with full hookups in Quemado just North of J&Y (21 miles from camp) for quite a while, but I have not been up to town there for more than a year and am not certain about its status. You could probably determine that by calling 575-773-4775 (J&Y) or 575-773-4545 (Country Store) and asking. There also is a simple and rustic full hookup RV park about 21 miles south of camp right on NM Rte. 32 (Apache Creek Youth Ranch) and a rather modern full hookup setup further down and on NM Rte. 12 at Cruzville - about 30 miles from camp (Sorry, don't now the name). We can find contact info for these if you have difficulty. P
