If you had to start over and had to go buy a factory rifle for your primary big game rifle, what rifle would you buy and why? Wood vs Synthetic, blued vs coated vs stainless, etc...

I would get this dip too.
6.6 pounds and every review showed consistently accurate results. That would cover all the bases for me if I were to pick just one.

I picked up a Tikka T3x Stainless/Synthetic in 7-08 for an elk hunt last fall. If I was starting over I’d be between it or one in 6.5 Creedmoor for my needs.

Tikka T3x or Sauer 100. Caliber 6.5 CM or 7MM-08. The stock would be synthetic. Both rifles are proven and both shoot very well. Tikka gets the nod as I can get it in LH configuration.

Hard to beat for the Money. I also really like the Ruger Scouts in synthetic for hunting.

If money was not an issue, though, I’d buy another Kimber Adirondack.

This would be damned hard to beat in my book. As an added extra a straight 6x. Mb

Tikka SS super lite in 7mm/08 and 2 cases of ammo. Would be set till I’m dead for hunting. My boss just bought a Christiansen carbon barreled 308. I could slum one of them too if I had too. 😉

I have both of those and that would be my pick. Even one in 308w would work pretty dang good. Have one of those as well and really enjoy it.
