This year has been wet and cool, relatively speaking, so hopes are high for good year.

Yes sir...

Hope you slay a giant. How far from Del Rio/Carrizo?

I agree, probably in 6.5 X 55 just like the one I've got, or possibly in .308, which is a pretty good cartridge too.

Nice. But wouldn't you want a quality gun over that?

Those are very nice but for me I'd want a "lesser" rifle that I wouldn't be afraid to hunt with and get it marked up.

I had a working faux Rigby Stalker built with this very purpose in mind and was a fair bit less expensive than the factory Rigby currently offered.

I did, it's a Tikka Roughtech 6.5CM and I sold off my other so/so rifles to get it. Cause it's what I wanted. It's not the Sako I had back when but it's damn close. Mike

Ran all my data into the computer over and over. Every answer was the same. Weatherby Vanguard synthetic all weather. I didn't question about cartridge as I knew it would be a Creedmoor! The rifle will be chambered in .270 Winchester.

The standard HAVAK is a great sporter weight rifle. I'd really like to try the ELEMENT version.
