New York has some of the most restrictive firearms ownership in the USA. It's pretty obvious it doesn't work.

We tried back in 1861.

Rural New York is Red, the cities are Blue, just like everywhere else.

Just like his new “Office of Gun Violence Prevention” and declaration of a gun violence state of emergency, this is part of a pilot programs.

Depending on the results of the Midterm elections this fall, look for the Feds to be doing all this on a National scale next year.

Meanwhile, NY lawsuits could threaten the availability of guns and ammo everywhere..

Why do you think that is, that the Big Cities are almost always Blue?

I used to think that it was because that is where those that have been indoctrinated by higher education navigate to for high paying jobs and that Unions are strong in big cities and able to brainwash their members into voting Democrat, coupled with an unusually high population of Gimmydats on the dole.

Although the above may play a significant role in the Blue cities, the 2020 election and the exposure of how corrupt electronic voting is, has changed my mind.

Electronic voting and Dominion are used to a greater degree in the Big cities than in rural America. Because of this it's much easier to cheat and steal elections whit the higher concentration of electronic voting machines.

I can answer some of your questions. Gimmedats are centrally located. A lot has to do with mass transportation.
They count on buses and rail. No cars.
But rest assured Biden is trying to spread the ghetto rats around to the suburbs. Trying to move them out off the big cities. Build cheap housing or apartments in the small towns. conservative folks fleeing the big cities and everything that goes with them. Hasbeen

That's true for quite a few states...

What about Booze? Do you see the government going after the makers of beer, hard liquor, wine?
Why not? Does booze cause the loss of innocent life? Or the vehicle ? Sue the manufactures right? Make sure Combo hears your thought on this.

Can distilleries be sued by victims of a drunk driver?
Can silverware manufacturers be sued by fat people?
Can automobile manufacturers be sued by crash victims of a speeding driver?

Everybody wants an easy answer and somebody to blame.

If it avoids personal responsibility and the government gets more control and power, so much the better....

A quick Google... suing gun manufacturers has been done before and put the Raven/Jennings/Bryco/Jimenez company out of business twice, once by Oakland CA and once by Kansas City...

Too broad a criteria for lockup. How about for being subversives?

Everything so far proves cumo is a [bleep] commie bastard. How many people protect that dumb ass with guns?
Got to be a bunch of security as stupid as he is and I bet he sleeps with guns too. But the hell with the rest of the people.

I hadn’t seen this before; New Jersey already has filed a lawsuit against Smith and Wesson...

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/02/business/dealbook/new-jersey-lawsuit-smith-wesson.html

Plainly the intent is to kill the gun manufacturers with a thousand cuts.

When the manufacturer wins in court, there should be a counter suit to recover expenses.
