WTB: Leupold VX-2 2-7x33mm scope
Looking for late production VX-2, item number 110794 with all the end-of-the-line improvements. Finger adjusters under the caps. 9.9 oz. per the spec sheet. The 114402 was the same thing with CDS as far as I can figure out, so that would be fine as well.
I have VX-3s in 1.75-6 and 2.5-8, so I'm looking to get as close to them as I can in the 2-7x33 package. Going on a single shot .300 BLK.
Doesn't have to be perfect, but free of any substantial nicks and dings and only minor ring marks, if any.
Not in a hurry, but selling some things out of the gear closet and figured I'd put out a feeler. Would love to do a partial trade for any of the items I have listed for sale here.

I hate wasting time, range fees and ammo switching scopes around, and hate having a mini-project between where I am and being able to use a tool. The VX-3s are paired up with other rifles and I want them to stay that way. I like the specs of the 2-7 paired up with the rifle I plan to put it on; it's a new rifle and doesn't have a scope yet. It's very lightweight and compact, and is realistically not much more than a 200-yard cartridge, if that. Could go 1.5-5, but haven't ever messed with the 2-7, so this seems like a good time to see how I like it. For less than an ounce more weight, the 33mm objective may be worthwhile.

Do not have one to offer. However, think it would be a good option for your intended use. Pictures when you get it put together.

The prices on these have gone through the roof now that Leupold has discontinued all their 2-7x33 models...they are nice little scopes, I own several.
I’d give one up but not for less than I paid for it.
VX Freedom 2-7x33: Matte black, duplex. Has finger click adjustments, VX-2 glass and lens coatings (according to Leupold). Sits on a rifle presently but bought new by me a couple years ago. Like new, might have a ring mark but probably not...if it does it will be very minor and not through the finish. $225 shipped.
VX-1 2-7x33: Minor ring marks(not through the finish), matte black, duplex, glass is blemish free...Would be a nice scope for a 200yd rifle like you mentioned...that’s exactly what I bought it for. $235 shipped.
VX-2 2-7x33: Matte, duplex, like new sitting in the safe, no ring marks, blemish free glass. Paid too much for it but won’t let it go for less. $340 shipped.
All scopes are the latest models sold by Leupold before they were discontinued. Not interested in any trades, I could use the money for another project I have in the works.
Only interested in selling one of the above scopes as the others are needed presently.
Happy to text pics.
Let me know if interested.
Thanks,
Leftybolt

Well, as the reader may have noticed in his other thread, Mr. Bolt decided to sell the VX-1 and keep the VX-2 (no hard feelings - we've had a very cordial PM exchange and I fully understand), so I'm still looking for a VX-2.

I had an older VX II 2x7x28 on a savage 99 I have and really liked it. Very lightweight with good glass. I had problems with the adjustments being erratic at the range this spring and couldn’t get the scope to hold zero. I sent it back to Leupold and they’re sending me a new VX Freedom 2x7x33. Can’t wait to try it.
Good luck finding the scope you want. I always liked the whole VX II line of scopes.
