Does anyone here have any actual personal experience with the SWFA 2.5-10 lightweight rifle scope. Just thinking it may be what I need nless experienced people have negative commentary. I have used other swfa scopes and am aware they don't have the best glass and are not the most pleasing to the eye , but are rugged and functional. Just want opinions on the one specified.

I have one and it appears to have good adjustments and holds zero well. It has been bouncing in my truck on a .223 Kimber Montana off and on for a little over a year and is still zeroed.
The eye relief is very short and in my opinion to short for anything with much more recoil than the .223 or maybe a light bullet in a .243. At 10x the image is so poor on the one I have I consider it a 2.5-8x, others may be better.
For what I paid for it I am satisfied with it even though it has the shortcomings I mentioned.

The eye relief was a deal breaker for me.

It's for a 243 with about 8.5 lbs of heft so eye relief is not a problem.

I have a couple of them and they work well for me.
Eye relief is on the short side, so I would not use on a kicker, but it did not give me any problems on a fairly lightweight 308WIn.
That having been said, I have mostly been using them on smaller intermediate calibers.

I have one on a AR-15. Works great for my uses. I have really not noticed the short eyebox. I was having focus issues at 8-10x, but the more I have been shooting it and adjusting it, the less it has been an issue. I have been shooting out to 330 yard with no issues. I also like the small overall size of the scope on the AR.

If considering one pretty strongly counts, yeah. I decided, after a brief discussion with someone else, a knowledgeable person about such stuff that tried one, that it’s overpriced for what you get. For half, or less of what they charge, you can get a Burris Fullfield II or E1 3-9, that’s not a compromise in any way as a hunting scope. I have four of those now, giving excellent service. Unless 5oz. or so is crucial, it’s an easy choice.
What fresh Hell is this?

I've used one on for a little over 2 years. Taken some deer and caribou with it and it works as advertised. On a 5.5 pound all up rifle I haven't found eye relief to be an issue. But its only a 6.5 CM. Would I put it on my 338-06 just to make it 6.5 pounds all up.....certainly NOT

I shot a deer with one in October 24th 2020....250 Savage I had a 1" (3) shot group at 200 yards during sight in, a few days earlier. I was ready to use the BCD reticle to long range. But on opening morning, there she was at 100 yards.

Mine is also essentially a 2.5-8. I can’t get it to focus well above 8 no matter what I do, plus my personal scopes eye relief really goes down drastically from 8 to 10 power. I wanted it to work but so far I just can’t like it, it’s currently just setting in the safe.
I need to send it in and see if mine is just not working correctly
