Roy has a bass player and someone who can actually sing
Yeah, maybe Dusty and Jack Bruce can team up on a song or two.

How many of you border dwellers ever played this song on the way down south:

Dusty was also a great singer. I always thought he had a better voice than Billy Gibbons. Billly was more of a “growler” Dusty could actually sing. Also read once that he was a big Elvis Fan.
Kinda explains his version of this song:
"Allways speak the truth and you will never have to remember what you said before..." Sam Houston Texans, "We say Grace, We Say Mam, If You Don't Like it, We Don't Give a Damn!"

Good one! Or this one too:
"Allways speak the truth and you will never have to remember what you said before..." Sam Houston Texans, "We say Grace, We Say Mam, If You Don't Like it, We Don't Give a Damn!"
That might be their "best" album in my estimation. Whole lot of good songs on there.

Was always a good time when he and Billy did "duets".

I believe this tour was the only one I had the privilege of seeing. And it was a good one:
"One giant piece of craziness"

I'm sure I'm not the only one who played this on the jukebox on payday:
I just got paid today, Got me a pocket full of change. Said, I just got paid today, Got me a pocket full of change. If you believe like workin' hard all day, Just step in my shoes and take my pay.
I was born my papa's son, When I hit the ground I was on the run. I had one glad hand and the other behind. You can have yours, just give me mine. When the hound dog barkin' in the black of the night, Stick my hand in my pocket, everything's all right.
I just got paid today, Got me a pocket full of change. Said, black sheep, black, do you got some wool? Yes, I do, man, my bag is full. It's the root of evil and you know the rest But it's way ahead of what's second best.

Good stuff Buddy. I prefer their music from that era. Still listen to it all the time. Last tour I saw was the “Eliminator Tour”. They came through town that year in 1983 or 84 I believe. It was good, but I still prefer the older music they made.
I looked it up on the Web. January 18th, 1984.

Met Billy Gibbons once, too. Bought a bottle of his branded Tequila from him and he autographed the bottle. Happened when I was visiting family in Austin, 1996 or so. He was at a Liquor Store promoting his brand of Tequila. He’s a small fellow. Compared to me, anyways. 🤠
