225's @ 2600fps and you'll have a certified brown bear weapon.
I tend to use more than enough gun

Ooohh, I love me some 35 whelen. Be careful on the weight if i can at least offer an opinion. I have a model 70 featherweight classic built on a Krieger #3.with a McMillan. Incredible shooter, but it will make a man out of you. 225 nosler partition at just under 2700 FPS. Best elk medicine ever

Bob is a great guy to deal with. I bought several items from him and they are always as good or better than described!

Iowa just legalized the use for deer so I’m gonna just be shooting whitetails.

Wow! I hadn't seen that change. Just looked at Iowa regs and it appears rifles .35 and over can be used which would not allow .338-06 but would allow .35 Rem, Whelen or .358 etc. Is that your understanding, Matt?

If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

Yes sir lead miner. Double checked with officer and he says I am correct
Recoil is not an issue I’m used to a 12 gauge with 3” deer slugs

The whole point is big heavy slow. Frozen chisel plow corn field and fast flat shooting bullets equals a lot of shot hunters

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

I'm a NR so only get to gun hunt Iowa every two years-drew last year but not for 2021. I initially planned to build a straight wall rifle in 450 BM but with extra 35s now legal, I have that covered. Your Whelen idea or a 358 would be sweet!
