My neighbors griping about me giving away 8 cord of wood to another needy neighbor. Said it was stopping water or something. Gutter system ran out on far side of property. Turns out he bought lots from the estate. Either he didn’t know the drain daylighted there or he’s the one that collapsed them causing me to have to cut black top and change drains.

He wanted me to put blocks in too. My brother said the same about using a backhoe, even mini Excavator wouldn’t set them he didn’t think. I redirected all across my yard first in swales, regraded yard with tractor trailers of fill, screened compost top soil, 100 lbs of seed, etc. F ‘em, neighborhood peace cost me enough this year. I’m not putting big block walls on property line. Probably have to look at Pick and Carry chart to figure out how heavy you’d need to set. I’ve seen them set but big ones with massive cranes or at least 1-200 ton cranes. May have been overkill though.

Slumlord: Well thank goodness you are alive and dry!
The pictures on TV this morning were very disturbing.
Hope they find the missing folks alive.

All the loss of life was just west of us about 25 miles as the crow flies.

Last count 22 dead
50+ still missing

Babies ripped from parent’s arms, people in vehicles trying escape washed away.

Maters hell.

Did Grandma's beans make it through OK?

Going to be bad for a while there. Now it’s sweltering hot on top of the misery. No power or cell service still

Mrs slumlord is heading down there now with 1000 tooth brushes, 1000 mini tubes of Crest and some other toiletries. Suppose to meet up with some other relief orgs.

I’d love to haul my grill down there and cook hotdogs and burgers. Got two big Dr appts this week. I’ll find out what my church group is doing.

Yum.

But not from the Costco or Piggly Wiggly pre formed packages. That stuff probably has that pink slime scheidt in it.

Hydatid Cyst is the one that always freaked me out.

You can get them from canines. Wolves on Isle Royal were infected at one time. What a nightmare. Maybe ivermectin works ... who knows.

Slummy I was feeling for you. I have had difficulties all my life. But if you are eating that meat raw and not even cooked rare ...... POOOOOEY! I lost my compassion down to a more proper level. It would suck for me to even eat bologna. I can't even eat the deer summer sausage in my freezer. Son eats it but I don't know how. God Bless ya anyway. I feel for anyone with gut problems. Had mine since 1951. Be Well, RZ.
