And why in heck would anyone want to go to a "crowded dove field"? Sounds as much fun as combat fishing on some rivers I know. No thank you.
Thems my thoughts on the subject too. Course we don't have a season on songbirds here anyway, Never felt I was missing out on much by not shooting birds you need 10 to a person to make a meal.

I take freezie blue blocks and breast them out on the spot and toss em in a side side cooler
Dense dark, i never do the bacon thing. I fry in a skilled breaded. 5 or so is a lot, side of white beans, fried okra out of my garden, mash potatoes. Or a scoop of purple hulls.

Doves are fast around here, barely got time to yell... O'er'ya... hell my wife will yell it if we are driving on the freeway and a dove flies by.
