The primary misinformation out there is the assertion that "the science is settled" and a vaccine that amounts to an experiment which is nowhere near providing anything remotely resembling a comprehensive dataset is going to save us all.

Here's something to think about. As of September 8, there have been 40,523,954 COVID-19 cases reported, 2,842,496 hospitalizations, and 652,480 reported deaths. Quibble with the numbers, but they're the best we have to work with. The case fatality rate works out to roughly 1.6%. Odds of making it out of the hospital alive are difficult to calculate because some deaths occur out of hospital, but may be around 77%. Recent studies show that unvaccinated people are 11 times more likely to die from COVID. I'm thinking that if the case fatality rate was higher, say 50%, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
