Don't get me wrong, I like being alive, but, truth be told, its nowhere near as much fun as it used to be. If I had known just how hard getting old is on the body, I would have signed up for the extended warranty.

Started informal clays shooting this summer. Gets me out of the house once a week on a schedule of sorts, and also provides some “blah blah blah” time, as my wife calls it, with some other old farts. Lotsa fun, and something entirely new for my old azz. My other shooting is mostly a solitary activity and this is a good change.
Part of the plan was to burn up some of my Boomer Hoard of shells, but I have more than ever for some reason….
What fresh Hell is this?

I turned 75 yesterday. I lost my two best friends this past April. They were born the same year I was, and I had known them since about age 11. That's a long time. It makes getting old worse when you lose your friends.

In the last 18 mos I've lost my parents and a brother. Mom is in the mortuary now. Lost her last Saturday. Can't even cry anymore. Getting old sucks. George

Closing in on 72, I really feel not much different physically or mentally. Still work and enjoy it.
My issue is my wife of 50 years dealing with Stage 4 Cancer. I can’t imagine life without her.

I turn 75 in a few months. Just switched from a push cart for golf to a motorized walking cart. Should've done it five years ago. I still walk the course twice a week for exercise but won't have to push a heavy cart through grass and up hills any more.
No major health issues. Good genes and good luck, mostly.

I am 70 and lost my 62 year old wife about a year and a half ago. We were best friends and did everything together. We still had many things on our bucket list to do. Life has lost much of it's luster.

Just about to turn 69. Retired at 60 and have LOVED every minute of it!

I guess old age is something we all have to deal with; unless we don't make it that far. I'm not really looking forward to it. GD

I'm 73 and retired. I'm in pretty good health. I can hike 5 miles with a day pack without too much problem. One of my partners is 76 and still hunting elk. The other one is 77 and finally had to hang it up because of his knees. Yesterday I was in Dr. office about a shoulder injury (clumsiness). The nurse was updating my medical records. She got to hospital admissions. tonsils, age 4, cataracts age 59, and colonoscopty age 62. She said "that's all?" She was amazed. Apparently most people my age have pages of medical records.

DBT: That must be an age old phenomenon? I swear it is true now that I am 74 (time passing faster than when I was young).
Maybe it is a "perception" prompted by our pending endings?
Anyway I am full of zest and anxious to get on to the next adventure/project with NO fears and NO regrets.
