OP bruinruin Campfire Ranger Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 19,504 Tip of the Mitten	It's the time if year here in Northern lower Michigan when the salmon are in the harbors and piling up at the river mouths. My buddies and I have been pulling a few in the last couple of weeks, including 4 between me and my bud, Jared, on Wednesday morning before work. They're not much good for the frying pan or grill this time of year, but are pretty good smoked. I brined up a batch yesterday and put them on the smoker a little while ago. Last Wednesday's haul... My homemade smoker, loaded up and ready to work... I'm looking forward to sampling the results in 3-4 hours. 🙂 4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.

OP bruinruin Campfire Ranger Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 19,504 Tip of the Mitten	It came out pretty tasty. I'll probably back off a bit on the amount of brown sugar I used because it's almost like smoked candy, but it's darned tasty. 4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.
