Noem has done better than most in regard to COVID, but it's a low bar. She has been a letdown in other areas. She's a politician, so I don't expect much, but I wish we had a better option available in South Dakota.

Yes you might want to do a deeper dive on that issue. Government listening to its voters is so rare that people can't see or accept it when it happens.

Just trying to give some context to the article because I'm familiar with the author. He has some odd ideas but is definitely no liberal. He could be falling for some liberal lie but he has a beef with Noem already.



Noem opposed a state-level ban on vaccine mandates by private employers. I understand her logic for that, but I think she was mistaken. It's sort of a non-issue now with the larger vaccine mandate from Biden, which she says she opposes.

She also rejected a transgender sports ban under pressure from the NCAA and big business. She had previously claimed to support the ban. Might not be a big issue to some but I think it was a bad sign. If she'll cave on that, what other commitments will she abandon?

Again for those who aren't listening, the NCAA and big business didn't move the needle on the transgender ban. The voters in Sioux Falls moved the needle on that, like it or not.
