I wear flannels every working day all winter, but am limited to tall sizes (the whole 6'5" thing comes with limitations) which limits the options. My go-to has been Eddie Bauer, catch them on one of their sales (black friday, Labor Day, Memorial day), and you can get very good flannel shirts for about $35. I have some that are close to a decade old and still in fighting shape.

Land's End has good stuff, but their catalog and web site is so poorly designed it's hard to figure out what thickness of flannel and what cut you are buying. I ended up with a couple of shirts that are made for Bubba's bellly, and me, combined.

Most of the cheaper ones shrink after the first washing. I looked on carhartt's site. Something happened there. The models look like emaciated [bleep]

Farm & Fleet is where I get my 100% cotton "Work n' Sport" flannel shirts. No polyester for me.

They have a western shirt medium flannel I like too.

Bought a few at Coastal Farm and Ranch and they were great but a bit spendy. I tend to be pretty hard on my flannels as once I get a comfortable shirt I tend to wear it while working, playing, etc... until it is shot. I got a few at BiMart and Costco and they are much cheaper and very comfortable and seem to last about the same amount of time as the more expensive ones.

I usually source mine from Brooks Brothers. Good quality, and the prices are not crazy high.

X2 on Big Bill. Heavier fabric than Cabelas and Duluth, cheaper and made in USA. https://www.galeton.com/big-bill-re...el-work-shirt-made-in-usa/13082-product/
