For the last several years have used Cabela's store brand flannel shirts. Always bought two at a time and they would be worn pretty much every day for 6-7 months straight, washed regularly and have lasted about 2 years before the collars start to fray. Even then they stick around for several years as work or dirty environment shirts.

Don't trust what they offer nowadays with Bass Pro in charge but BP gets universally panned for high priced crap so am looking for a new source.

Don't want or need a $100+ boutique shirt but also don't want the Walmart $10 special either; just a decent, medium weight flannel that can stand a lot of washing and hold up well for at least a couple of winters.

So, what'cha recommend?

I like the chamois ll beans.

They are pricey but they fit me well and last longer than any shirt of the same weight I've had.

I also like LL Bean. Thick, soft and long wearing.

Dont have one but been very happy with my jacket from Legendary Whitetails. Was thinking of giving their flannels a go.

Why pay $38 for a $7 flannel shirt

And unless you’re a couch cûnt, you aint out much if you snag it on a barbed wire fence or wait-a-minute vines, or lay in hydraulic fluid

I just bought 2 red/black "buffalo plaid" shirts from Sportsman's Guide. Inexpensive, comfortable, heavyweight and very warm. Look like the old wool ones one used to get, like the loggers and deer hunters wore in pics..

Only thing is they are polyester? fleece, not flannel. Flannel is good if you can keep them dry.

I really like them, don't know how they will wear yet, but they should readily wick moisture through and dry quickly if wet.

Yep. Used to be my favorite hunting shirt. Pissed that they stop making them. I’ve still got one left that has the Windstopper liner. It’s a warm SOB.
