I’ve owned a bunch of them. Got it whittled down to a .22, .30-06, .300 Win Mag and a .35 Whelen. My son found the .30-06 recoil a bit much so it sits in an HS which did settle it down. I don’t find the recoil on the .300 to be bad but the previous owner installed a decelerator pad and I don’t shoot prairie dogs with it. The Whelen can be a bit sporty with full house 250s.
