Christians should Celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus.
We already do. Don't need preachy types like you and Crappy Hamper beating on everybody to remind us.
Now go boil a potato or somethin'.
You are only reminded by engaging in this thread, dirt. If you don't like it, adios amigo. Wabigoon has more honor in the things he's said here than the half dozen of those who troll this and most other Christian threads.
Just stop your phony pulpit thumping.
It's not only tiring, it's boring.
Go buy yourself a church and you can carry on with all your preachy gack there.
Why do you annoy yourself by constantly showing up on this thread?
I don't know about you, but I don't even click on 90% of the threads.
Yes, you are right. People came here from Europe to have religious freedom. They were not any more perfect than people today, however we have our freedoms because of Someone these guys aught to know by now. The Lord provided each and every Liberty.
They sure weren't perfect. They hadn't been here very long when they started killing folks for being witches. In America and being done by white people who were Christian no less.
I am not a Puritan, nor agree with all of their doctrines and practices. They weren't the only settlers either. The Lord provided a land where more preachers have been sent out to the world to spread the gospel than any preserved records of any other time. Granted, the Dark ages were dark because many books were burned, including Bibles and living witnesses of that gospel.
Why wouldn't they? The question is about as stupid as should Christians play D&D?
Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on 10/31/1517. Today was Reformation Sunday. I have an ancestor that studied with Luther and was considered the "Danish" Martin Luther. So the day has meaning for me, just for different reasons.
Interesting.... Was he a major missionary in that part of Europe?

And you preachers have preached a false gospel/teaching and have led the people astray. Here's a scripture question for you. Who will set you free?

Not many books around in the dark ages you ignorant phuque. The printing press wasn't invented until 1442. The hand printed and illuminated texts were guarded like gold. You are as phony as kim's tits.

The Dark ages were called the "Dark" Ages BECAUSE libraries were burned and little is left from that history. The Muslims and Catholics burned books. The Roman Catholic hierarchy wanted the priesthood to keep the people under domination of Rome. Dissent was not tolerated. The churches were not provided the Bible in their own language in any large numbers until King James funded it. The invention of the printing press was NOT the invention of libraries and Bibles. There were Scribes long before the New Testament.
You are very highly trained at one skill...... Arrogantly making false accusations.

Your interpretation of history is as twisted as your claim to know 'The Word". 14 posts/day and none are smart and few are honest. Good work.

Yep. They left Europe and came here to escape religious persecution, but they sure didn’t believe in practicing religious tolerance themselves. When other colonists arrived with differing beliefs, they were persecuted by these same people.
Yep, they were real tolerant folks in the olden days:
The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)

That is NOT true. It was the church that burned the original writings of the Greeks, which left them, the religious pharisee and sadducee as the sole authority on what was written. They then turned those stories into some kind of literal religious teaching instead of its original Spiritual teaching. And that teaching is the BS you keep yaking. You haven't got a clue what you are talking about scripturally.

Laughing. Your grasp of history is on par with your regard for the truth.

A Southern Baptist preacher spent his life searching for as many ancient books on christian history as he could find prior to the Reformation. Your upbringing would not like what he learned.
Martin Luther solidified the common German language by publishing through his writings and the Bible which was printed in that language. He is considered to be one of the most read theologians not only because of his influence since the reformation but also because of his prolific writing and the prolific printing of his articles and books.
Who is the SBC preacher that you source? I’d like to googlefu his findings.
