This is absolutely right. 22 Mag wheel gun is almost as bad as the 30 Carbine.

I agree. I've owned both, but don't currently. I do have several Ruger Single Six 22WMR's though. Not that I prefer the Ruger over the S&W, but that I was just in the right place to pick four up within the last few months.

If you want to pocket carry, check out the S&W PD351. Small, but very comfortable in my big fat hands.

I have a High Standard 9 shot revolver that I have killed a bunch of cats and one rattlesnake. It's homely and has a heavy double action but it's been a good companion since 1976. It's the Sentinel Mk IV.

The single sixes are great. I prefer the 22 lr cylinder though. The 22 wmr actually doesn't get much more velocity from the short barrel but the noise and muzzle flash is way more than the 22 lr.

Chrono both and see what you get. Or you can look at the numbers from Ballistics By The Inch:

My 648 no dash is sure a great way to consume 22 WMR ammo.

Ruger recalled all those and quickly discontinued the production of them. Probably worth big bucks nowadays to Ruger Collectors.

Mine worked great. And was accurate too.

I’m not sure BBTI agrees with you.
