OP j2dogs Campfire Regular Joined: May 2007 Posts: 2,225 southeastern, ky	I was raised to believe that your word was sacred. Have I broken it over years that's a given. Everytime though I have been lessen by it, to the point I do my utmost to keep it.It seems individuals today think nothing of it, in fact they seem to wear it as a badge of honor. This is just one of the things of these "Times" that makes this world harder for me to recognize anymore.

I see that and other great values fading away as well all around us. I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Unfortunately, when they get caught in a lie (and they continually are) they just lie or deny and don't seem to care. The media is complicit in covering up, especially for the liberals. I think it was Mark Twain who said it should be far easier to just tell the truth. You don't need as good memory. I try hard to be honest and not make promises I can't keep. But, I have failed once or twice. Mostly in my teen dating years.
