ANOKA, Minnesota – – Federal Ammunition is proud to announce a new limited availability monthly subscription service has been added to its robust eCommerce capability. With this new service, consumers can subscribe to receive five boxes of ammunition to be delivered to their door step every month with a 12-month service commitment. This new service includes free shipping for all subscription orders.

“We are very excited to launch this new service which is loaded with benefits for our online customers,” said Jason Nash, Federal’s VP of Marketing. "Interested consumers should visit our web site to learn all the details of the new program. At the time of the subscription service launch, available calibers at the initial rollout will be 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 Auto, with possible expansion into other loads and cartridge options, pending market demand.”

Since early 2020, continual enhancements have been made to update Federal’s web site. An industry first loyalty program offers online shoppers the chance to get exclusive merchandise for points and new products and merchandise are added regularly.

So 60 boxes a year of 9mm, 40 or 45? That is 120 years worth for me.

Where did the problem of no ammo occur? Not under President Trump, that is for sure.

Saw that on their website last week. No mention about price. Not impressed. Just built in demand. Good for them. Not good for the consumer. NO.INT.

I wouldn't be able to afford the gas to use that much ammo!

If you go to the subscriptions page, you'll see the prices.

For 9mm, you commit to buy 3000 rounds (250 rounds per month for 12 months) at $0.58 per round, delivered (you pay $140/mo during the 12 months). I'm not sure why anyone would lock himself into that "deal," unless there's handwriting on the wall of which I am unaware.

Shrug, i dunno, interesting idea. Yes, it’s a built-in demand for Federal, sure; more power to ‘em.

For a guy or his kid shooting in friendly amateur/club meets 1-2x/mo, it would be a nice safety net. No stressing out, running all over hell shopping, skipping matches, etc. Paying essentially 100% markup over good old days retail, yes, but it’s (presumably) guaranteed available and shipped for the price. So in this day and age….

Wouldn’t be surprised to see ammo companies start cutting out the middle man and prioritizing direct to consumer sales. Federal’s website is good.

Take this for what it's worth. My son in law lives close to the federal plant and one of his friends works there. He told me the other day his buddy says they have machines sitting idle. I've smelled a ever since this shortage started.

Direct to consumer sales might help get the ammo supply into the right hands rather than being snapped up by GB resalers.

The plan is to limit production to artificially hold prices higher. They're doing it with trucks and many luxuries, too. I see the advantage for the producer, but it won't hold without socialist government protection, which they won't get from gun hating American liberals.

This attitude simply creates a niche for new ammo companies. So who's gonna start making primers? Did the current Whitehouse ban Russian primers too?
