Had my second shot yesterday. First one was NBD… just a sore arm. This time around, not so good. Feel like I have been rode hard and put away wet. Failed to get the license tag of the truck that hit me. Not much fun.
My oldest sister has had four of those shots.....and had shingles 11 times...

I was warned the second shot would be worse than the first but for me it was only slightly more painful than the first and only lasted a day or two...
I got my annual flu shot and my second Pneumonia shot last week and my shoulder hurt for a couple days and I was nauseous and dizzy for a a few days... much worse than the Shingrix shot....

Had the "original" shingles vax in Jan 2015, the newer 2 dose vax in April and June 2018, no problems with any of them. I had the chicken pox twice as a kid in the late '50s.

My father had a compromised immune system due to cancer treatment. This was in 1962. He required several pints of blood every month or so, One of the pints was contaminated with the shingles virus. He came down with the worst case of shingles his doctor had ever heard of. While the shingles did not directly kill him, they made his last few weeks miserable, and weakened him to the point where pneumonia took him.
If necessary, I would force anyone I cared about to get the shots at the point of a gun.
