Still here, but not doing much kicking. Pretty much home bound due to wife's stroke three years ago. Parted with three Savages this year, still got a few left, plus a Stevens 425. Here's hoping 2022 will be a little kinder year.

Happy New Year!!
Goal for this year is to find a 243 EG in collector grade condition to put in the safe for the 5 year old. Not to derail the thread, I have seen a few for sale over the years but I have only seen one in person in my life. It was at one of the 100's of little gun shows I have been too over many, many years. A guy at one of the tables told me he had bought it for $600 from one of the other vendors. I asked him if he would consider selling it to me. I wasn't even able to get the conversation to price. His answer: No. Good luck with your search, sincerely.

I come and I go...periodically catch up on reading pages at a time. I’ve bought a few 99’s over the years from some guys here. I have learned quite a bit over the years from this site.
My primary interest is shooting and hunting with long bows and recurves, but I enjoy hunting with 99s when I’m hunting with my family.

Still here. Still didn't get a deer with my 99EG 308. In my defense, I hunt with my wife, and she always gets the first shot.

Present!
I'm not certain, but I don't think I added any Savage products to my accumulation this year.
Still searching for a "Lightest" 1895 (you know who you are!) and also a solid frame 1899 H, any caliber but preferably .303
My wife is an RN and very tired of the covid B.S.. It looks like I'm going to rejoin the "working class" ASAP so that she can catch her breath after the last couple years of crazy 12 hour 7 day weeks. Neither of us have taken Big Brother's Jab and with her swimming in covid patients, shocking to all around us, neither of us has had so much as a sniffle.
I continue to count my blessings...
Happy New year to all!!!

Still breathing and kickin in North Central Iowa where it's -14* air temp/-28* wind chill this AM. Last Savage I bought was a Model 14 American Classic in .223 last Nov of 2020. Tis a tack driver....in fact last firearm I bought in last 13 months. Last 99 was a beautiful early 50's EG in 250/3000 in Oct of 2020. Happy and Blessed New Years to everyone.

I'm still kicking ! Happy new year ! I broke my 99 in this year with a lightfoot scope mount and a little buck. I'm on the hunt for a 22hp and am in the process of setting up to do some handloading.

Happy New Year Fellas! I continue to learn from all the knowledge shared here. Thank you. For 2022 I'll continue my search for a Mannlicher stocked 99, or a stockmaker interested in making one for me. I wish all of you a healthy and prosperous 2022.
