Some people don't believe it, but I definitely *do*. This life we live here is a burden. It doesn't seem like such a burden because we have nothing to reference it against.
But your wife has escaped the burden. She knows more than she's ever known. She feels better than she's ever felt, and she's more than she's ever been.

Weāve never met or spoken but having read your post I almost feel like I know you. Iām just a couple years older than you but Iāve known my wife since I was 16 and canāt imagine life without her. I would imagine that during Victoriaās bout with cancer you had to let your mind wander to where you are now but it isnāt something you can really prepare for. You just have to look back on all the time you had together as a gift. Those pups will be valuable company in the time ahead and will probably even get a little spoiled! Hopefully the posts here can provide some nuggets of hope and a ray of light in this dark time for you.

Oh Shaun, It breaks my heart to hear this news even though I don't know you. It is a loss you can't recover.
I have had some near misses with mine the last couple of years. It is hell and crushes your world. I can feel the agony of your loss and hope you have family and friends that buck you up. Stay strong and don't forget you have purpose. I am so sorry.

Anyway, I'm rambling. I don't really know why I posted about my situation here. I'm a private guy, usually keep myself to myself. Something prompted me to. Maybe it was Victoria.
Again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Shaun Thank you for sharing this, Shaun. People like you show the rest of us how life is done right. It's obvious Victoria was a great woman and the entire World is much poorer for the loss.
