... previous owner bought it and never shot it Sold it to me for what he paid for it (had the receipt in the box) ..... The 'fire will declare him a hopeless idiot.

Supergrade style on ultimate classic. Very Nice !, what vintage ? More pix svp I’m drooling, I never knew they offered the 280 in SS Also what/where is this CS stamp ?

No, regular production, G5digit sn, Mine was first Fwt 280 in Western Canada The early Classics were finished/ inspected in the CS, Or so I was told ; Here ?
In any case , feeding was initially quite rough, but was taken care of. Nicely.

Barrel stamp looks identical to that . Except CM of course. What stock is that ? I've seen exactly 1 M70 Classic Fwt CM/Wood 280Rem. File that one in the "Should've bought it" category.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.
