Getting some more stuff out of the plunger safety channel. Still on 1000 grit. Inner is getting a consistent 360 shine per flashlight and only couple strands with qtip left behind. Do one more rolled up 1000 session move to 1500 and 2000. Call it good for slide.

Their will be design variants but the general concept is similar among the manufactuers. This will be a ongoing pic intensive thread for the next couple of hours. ( pics or criticism not kryptonite to me) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 1st start with a striker fired pistol that has a 5.25 to 6 pd trigger from factory dry And around 4.5 to 5.25 pd one lubed Said pistol has a gritty feel on take up to wall. Breaks cleanly at wall and has a good tactile reset. Should be able to get pistol down to 4 to 4.25 based on past experience and maintain all factory geometry and get rid of grit in take up. This is a common problem in striker fired pistols. Manufacturers dont take the time to remove machining or milling imperfections in part by hand and the cost would add to the pricing of them across the industry. Wasted effort. This clunker will never have trigger equal to out of the box Walther PDP.

Serious note: if you're going to do much with the M&P line, a universal sight pusher is well worth the investment.

Wow. didn't realize all the work. Figured striker fired were all about the same. Our Glocks have been plenty easy to take apart and polish. Guess I"m glad of that after seeing this.
That especially said after learning how to polish all the internals of a smith revolver a while back too.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Its an affliction I have. Wanna see how this S&W shoots. Had a SD9VE I worked on 2 yrs ago. Polish and Mcarbo springs. Never shot it . Sold it to a member from Texas brother who lives here in Tn. He was happy as heck after dry firing that pistol. Think I got that one down to 4.25 Nice take up, crisp back wall break and a shorter reset and tactile feel on it. This actually will be the 1st S&W striker fired pistol I have ever shot. People say good things about these M&P9 2.0,s. I have seen the compact models around town over the last couple of years. 1st 5 inch I have seen in person. Had ta buy it. If I get bored with it down the line. Trade it in or sell it.... Glock is always the fall back go to pistol for me anyways.

My 5" 2.0 is my USPSA gun. Apex flat trigger and better sights.
Maybe 4k through it with no issues.
I shoot it a little better when going fast than my Glocks, but a G17 is still my nightstand pistol.

Inside of safety plunger recess has a nice consistent silver shine at 1500 grit hit it 2000 and calling the slide done.
Take Khan to her doc appt.
Rest will go kinda quick when I get back.
Fun interesting stuff for me to do.
Learn S&W pistols somewhat. 👍👍👍

What's your opinion on Springfield Armory XD, XDS line? You ever mess with those?
I read an article back around 2013 where they tested SA vs. Glock, dunking under water, everything to attempt a miss fire and jams.
I can't remember exactly, but I think the glock didn't misfire at all or jam, and the SA on had one. I think they ran 1,000 rounds through each in the test.

I have one of the later 1.0 CORE guns with RMR on top. Did the APEX flat trigger setup. Very nice fun gun. Not sure what I'd gain with a 2.0 CORE over the older one? Ren50, hope you have great success with the gun plumbing endeavor!

You even posted in the thread to acknowledge that fact, yet here you are attempting to feed your narcissism, when i attempted to be civil. Listen, you don't have the firepower between your ears to evaluate anyone. Maybe that's why they stuck you in recruiting........so you wouldn't be around items you could damage.
