Don't forget, there was a cop at the school in Broward Co, and when the shooting started , the coward ran and hid.
Having a cop at the school means nothing if they don't do their job. Yeah, I had forgotten about that .....................

Having a cop at the school means nothing if they don't do their job. The press is reporting that the shooter was wearing body armor and that the good guys with guns had trouble taking him down.
Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.
There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.

"One Border Patrol agent who was working nearby when the shooting began rushed into the school without waiting for backup and shot and killed the gunman, who was behind a barricade, according to a law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk about it.
The agent was wounded but able to walk out of the school, the law enforcement source said."

I dont post often but Ive been here longer than you have. Same with AR. No screamin liberal. Imagine if you can for a second, it's one of your kids. I think how do we keep guns out of the hands of people that would commit these crimes. And keep guns in the hands or responsible, law abiding, not crazy Americans That's about as fuggin' stupid a call for gun control as I've ever heard. 1) There are 200,000 guns in Uvalde County that weren't used in a school shooting today, or any day. 2) An evil human being committed this crime. He wasn't worried about laws or doing anything illegal. Last I checked, it is illegal to commit murder. It's illegal to shoot your grandmother, and anyone else. 3) Gun laws are only obeyed by the law abiding. That is it. People who do this don't follow the law. No law at all would have stopped this, if he was committed to do so. You ought to pull your head out of your ass. You may find the breathe of fresh air nice for a change. Best post of thread.

So this is acceptable? Just comes with the territory. Part of the cost of gun ownership and the privilege of being American? Yes, it is acceptable. Absolutely. Freedom is fraught with danger, but well worth it. The solution is to be armed at all times, and prepared to deal with nutjobs should they arise.

Killing kids or innocents never is. But to give up our constitutional rights in favor of govt protection is setting yourself and our nation up for mass killing. Read your history books, people. JoeBob wasn't saying mass murderers are acceptable. He was saying that the risks associated with living in liberty are an acceptable tradeoff for the benefits of living in liberty.

Jackson Handy: I don't know exactly. But I think law abiding gun owners can come up with solutions better than non gun owning, very powerful, congressman and senators. SO be on the right side of this. That's what I believe. Easy solution. Get rid of laws that prevent the law abiding from carrying effective weapons. These lunatics love environments where regular folks are forced to be unarmed, and they avoid areas where they believe there are lots of armed good guys. It's really that simple.

How about just putting nuts away? Unless that is done, not a DAMN thing can be done about crazy people doing crazy things. Oh...I get it. It's mean. Who sprung em? Reagan? Actually it was the Supreme Court. No person imprisoned without felony conviction, no criminal responsibility if they're crazy, etc. They sure didn’t have a problem putting John Hinckley Jr in the nut farm for 30 plus years for shooting Reagan and others. We should start doing the same with other mentals who are clearly insane. 🦫 It can be done if a judge is willing to declare a person criminally insane, which they are almost never willing to do. One doesn't have to be very smart to see that crazy is mainstream today.

You could forcibly ban all guns and do door-to-door confiscation and it wouldn't prevent any mass shootings. These heinous acts were not happening 60 years ago when kids were taking their new.22 to school for show-and-tell, or leaving their .20 gauge with the principal so they could shoot quail on the walk home after school. These crimes have nothing to do with guns! Blaming it on guns is just a lazy, low-resolution response intended to exculpate the real villain which is the culture we've created----no fathers in homes anymore, men entirely emasculated, the state acting as the new "father", boys growing up without a properly civilized man to show them what being a man actually means, moral relativism, cultural despair and on and on and on. We didn't have these crimes when we were watching Ozzy and Harriett on TV.

Or who leaked the Roberts opinion? I can’t speak to your first question. That investigation seemed to go nowhere and then faded away forever. Go figure. Your second question, having no answers for culpability or guilty of the leak is beyond any understanding. There is 9 justices with 4 clerks each, so a total of 36 possible suspects. They can’t question and run a lie detector on 36 individuals and get a sense of who is lying by now? Sure, sure…There’s nothing going on here, but business as usual. 🦫 You're mind-reading again. We tend to have that problem… Lol 🦫 36 is NOT a big number. Fry em up on the lie detector and see what floats to the top. This is not rocket science and anybody paying attention knows it. I figure the power structure elite don’t want their very Liberal Justice, who’s Clerk did the leaking being forced to face public scrutiny. Sotomayor comes to mind.🦫 Hanging comes to mind.

You couldn’t get the front door at the district I worked for without being buzzed in. That got you in the lobby. You had to have a working badge or key to get in the classroom areas. We had a police officer at every school also, two officers at junior highs and high schools. Every classroom had a locking door that would lock if school went to lockdown mode.

Yes, he’s dead, now, but FUTURE actors will see how quickly he became famous by doing this, and try the same.
