It astounds me that we can put electronic security doors on the government Office of Mattress Tag Checking, but security at an elementary school depends on Cross-Eyed Janitor Charlie remembering to lock the door in between smoke breaks. Not to belabor the point, but IME the janitorial staff is most often really good about locking doors since they are directly accountable. If stuff gets stolen it will come down on them and if vandals get in they are the ones who are gonna be cleaning up the mess/graffiti. It’s teachers and especially students that tend to prop them open so they don’t have to walk all the way around the building to get back in.

How much would people be willing to pay in tax increase to build every school in the US into a semi-prison like building? High walls around entire campus. Bulletproof glass, doors.. hell even walls.
And pay the extra 10-20 armed guards guarding each school.
Gotta be a federal tax so every school is entitled to the same amount of funding...
Wonder how much that would cost. OR how about we just spend the 40 BILLION we sent to a bunch of SLAVS and spend them here, but I tell you what, how about we just take what Zelinsky and his "cabinet" skimmed of the top?

Red flag laws plus the battle cry for increased mental health investigations/ convictions will fall right into the marxist hands as their primary tool to use against all conservative gun owners. This is a slippery slope right into the gulag. They did same thing in soviet union.

Second where does an 18 year old get enough experience with two newly purchased rifles and ammo to accurately hold off LEO as long as he did? From the evidence that is coming out, it is not hard to hold off LEO who are behind their cars in the parking lot. Volume of fire = gaining fire superiority and abilty to maneuver. Add in basic fear on the human reaction factor. And it dont take alot training to run a AR15 or any other wpn and make it go bang Owners manual. Playing around with it. Videos online Ect ect ect.... And hours of desensitizing on vid games that your life revolves around.... Equals evil with a wpn.....

All based on truth in reporting……if 2 Uvalde officers, or any LEO, were on site listening to gunshots and DID NOT ENGAGE they are guilty of being an accessory in my biased opinion. Hell, if any armed citizen was there listening how they not have responded? I’m no ex-mil, ex-LEO, no first responder and I was not there. But how could any citizen able make a difference stand by and watch & listen? Is there a man here that believes he would not have acted? Not I. Maybe being over 70 with a history of missed opportunities to die affects me. But what remains of my life would not have prevented me from going in to face the gunman or at least trying. My conscience would not have allowed any other action.
We the people are at a point in history where some if not many will be called on to do what is right in the mind of God. These callings will involve the potential for personal sacrifice, perhaps the ultimate sacrifice. But how can we as a people not respond? That some can and will fail boggles the mind. I pray should I be called on to face such evil I will be ready and willing. Able, I will leave to God’s will and his plan for me. We must search ourselves internally to prepare. For when the call comes to act there will be no time for self evaluation. The time then will be only for action not self preparation. God be with us all. May he bless and keep those in the midst of terrible mourning brought on by the forces of evil.

I do disagree with "desensitivation". Desensitivation is a matter of concern for the normal psyche. Psycopaths need no desensitizing. They have no conscience. They have no empathy. They have no guilt. They have no faults. Anything they perpetrate upon society is deserved by that society because of percieved mistreatments. I knew a 12 year old male who molested a 6 year old girl, and then told the Judge it was the girl's fault for tempting him. Too bad it is not legal for the parents to take them out back for the richly deserved culling.

Cannot believe what is shaping up as a complete failure by law enforcement. An active shooter is inside for almost an hour as parents are told to remain calm and sit outside hearing gunshots as leo parade around in their tactical gear doing crowd control. I mean this is an entire issue on it's own. I'm not painting it with a broadbrush but it's happened before, and not all cops are bad cops but what are we paying them to do??? And for the crowd that believes more guns is the answer, arm the teachers, it trained professionals can't get it done, do you really expect the full time teachers to be able to do the protecting? And for the racist homophob crowd here, if an 18 yo tranny mexican with no training can shoot and would 2 leo after the accident, walk past an armed security guard, and barricade himself in a school room for an hour while dozens of agents sit outside wondering what the plan is, I'm sure throwing more guns at the situation is the answer. God is the answer. Needed a better dad is the answer. How can you be sol blind? Stop enabling people getting the gun in the first place. Put up more obstacles. I’ve seen several references on newscasts related to 100 million or 100 billion $$$$$$ still dedicated to schools as covid funds. Thinking it is billion. That’s be like 1000 socialists upside down. Can’t think of a better way to spend a slush fund. Of course those with their eyes on personal gain will resist.
I believe this will be one option considered by congress. Make note of who resists.

Personally I like his approach to this and I think he's handling it honestly, with facts. He must be connecting with a lot of Americans because people are listening. Vastly different approach compared to Trump, who spews misinformation, doesn't understand the facts, deflects on how he mishandled it early on, can't take responsibility and who's biggest highlight everyday is getting to call it the CHinese virus on national tv. He can hear his base applauding. What a horrible leader, truly, not capable.

Does anyone fear this scenario playing out. Dems control the house and Senate, and President. They enact sweeping, over reaching gun control laws that have far reaching repercussions. Would it be better to have a say in it, on what would really help, before that happens?
