2 mile 40lb flat terrain ruck today. Got it done in 27:46. Almost two minutes faster than my 30lb 2 mile ruck two weeks ago.

JH, your rucking program sounds like an asskicker. Most days are pretty brutal. And I've been lowering the weight percentage most days in order to maintain form and complete the sets/reps. I am hopeful that this program will provide me with the needed muscular strength/endurance to go day after day after day. Got some big plans this year and I need to be able to hit it hard every day for up to two weeks if need be.

Still digging the arrowhead mdwi? I am, but didn't bring it this trip. I used a lighter mid-layer- it's a Rab Alpha Flash- use Alpha Direct like the mdwi, but it's straight Alpha Direct, no outer fabric. Worked pretty well. I almost always had another layer over the top of it a windshirt or hardshell. It breathes so well that wind goes right through it (ditto on moisture), but it definitely provides insulation and move moisture outward. It lacks hood though which is a drawback.

Went for a hike today.
8.5 miles with 2700ft of elevation gain on the 4 miles up to 10k ft. I'm smoked.

solid week- 38 miles with a lot of vert; got both strength training workouts too slowly creeping up to the 1000 mile mark

Deadlift 85% of bodyweight (185lbs) 7sets of 7, followed by 7 pull-ups so 7x7 pull-ups.
Bent over rows 5x8 135lbs followed by 3 pull-ups
Two .25 mile sprints, then 2 miles of rucking 45lbs.
Was a good day.

About 70 meters of walking lunges
2 sets of 20 air squats / 20 push-ups
1 Mile run in 8:32. Then I rucked to 20 minutes with 25lbs.
Kind of an active rest day, I needed a break.
