The way I see it... ... is that the right people already have them, and if push comes to shove, the wrong people won't be able to afford them. When the political pendulum swings back, repeal would be a great platform plank. So, NI. GR

ANY power to tax is the power to control.
Ie.
LBJ offered tax Exemption to the Churches, as if he had authority over God's institution or the freedom to assemble.
Just about all took the bait. Strings now attached as the line to the pole.
Property tax was another invention that was sold as a reasonable little bit of nothing. Now, if you don't pay thousands every year, they steal it.
If a one ¢ tax is enacted, they will eventually enforce the stealing of every one by force.....unless you are their enforcers. It will unfortunately be "Law enforcement" .

Would not pass constitutional muster. If you think about it, the $200 tax stamp was about 1/4 the average yearly income for an American in 1934. If that wasn’t unconstitutional, why would a $20,000 tax in today’s dollars?

Would not pass constitutional muster. I think this is right. You can have a minimal tax on a fundamental right, but not one that is designed to chill the right.
