Someone told me Joel doesn't get a salary from that church. He is picking up a bunch of money somewhere.

These TV and radio preachers are fantastic speakers. For sheer motivation they are fun to listen to. But for Bible doctrine one must, say what, read the Bible!

In eternity, all will realize that it was not fun to listen to heretics spout soul-damning garbage.

Families need to go to church and participate as families and as part of a congregation.
If you and your family and friends have found something like the above that works for y’all, then more power to ya’. It does sound nice. But more families than not are busted apart nowadays for a variety of reasons, and there’s a lotta single people out there. Our culture is changing, like it or not.

Rehashin’ apologetic approach’s from past generations isn’t gonna change the indifference regarding Christianity nowadays imo. To reach people that no one else is reachin’, you gotta do things that no one else is doin’.

Paul varied his approach depending upon his audience. He approached the Greeks in Athens differently than he approached the Jews that he took the Gospel to.

I just don’t think the current overall approach is working, based upon the fact that a majority of churches have plateaued or are dyin’. Some churches are growing, but all of that growth isn’t coming from people with no church background. Some of that growth is comin’ from Christian’s looking for a different place to congregate.

I think the number of churches that are really attracting new followers nowadays…especially in light of the clear decline of Christianity…is probably quite low.

In my opinion, nowadays the church has its work cut out for it tryin’ to figure out what it takes to reach people regarding Jesus and His message…both unchurched and dechurched people alike

From his books, tapes, podcasts, etc. His prosperity gospel is NOT the gospel of the Holy Bible, make no mistake.
