Ribeye here is $15ish/pound. Expensive as hell.

Chicken and pork is bargain country. Luckily I love both.

Glad I saved those ham-hocks from December.

That was Memorial Day sale I think, I still have some left “in here”
I am remembering these were $3.99 a pack during that sale.

These are the ones good enough to eat cold. 👍

Im out every morning for 2 hours, every afternoon for 2 hours.
Milk crate, cushion, steak knife. Dig, pluck, pull.
100 degrees, IDGAF. I’m there. Rubber gloves help, grip them better too. I can’t pull a hoe because all of the muscles across my chest aint mended back from that armpit to armpit incision.

Did my squash and pepper row last night. Had out patient surgery on both knees yesterday. Might have been still riding anesthesia lol. Sore as hell today.

Probably only water and cut collards today. Take it slow

It is a nice garden. Dirt doesn’t look very red. Haul dirt in or just an area without much red clay?

I haven't seen chicken leg quarters for .59 lb. in years around here. Best price is .89 on sale. We picked up 40 pounds at that price a couple weeks ago. 80% hamburger runs 3.99 lb. on sale. We just picked up a bunch of bone in pork chops for 1.89 lb. on sale.

Meat - same. I want to smoke some ribs. I'm buying a couple racks - they cost what they cost. I looked it up tho for this post. Spares are 4.69 lb, back is 3.99 lb, Smithfield prime ribs are 4.99 a lb.

Angus boneless English Roast - 4.99 lb
Boneless Ribeye is 18.99 lb

The main point of this is: all we ever get is Hillary is going to jail, panic panic panic, the durham report steaks are $30 a lb at costco, planes crashing into Oreo factories, twinkies are gonna become obsolete, hype hype hype, graphene, people turning into magnets, cell phones causing brain tumours, Dr Mercola, Alex Jones, food shortages, THE END IS NEAR day after day. Same shît.

It’s a Nolin series soil. Creek bottom. It’s just very dry right now. The whole bottoms here used to be coaling fields during the 19th century iron industry. We have slave dug hematite pits here on the farm.

This is what it usually looks like.

Is that Mayfield ice cream any good? We don't have that way up here. Pictures of food at lunch time always helps me scarff a little more down.
