Yeah. I don’t know why I still live here. 111 for the next 5 days except for 115 forecast for Monday.

The humidity has been brutal the past few days.

Strong thunderstorms popped up a few hours ago, generator humming as power out for the whole ridge.

We hit 105 in the sun, 101 in the shade 🥵 ….but with low humidity.

However, I spent about 8 hours building forms, mixing and pouring concrete! This old man is wasted! ☹️ memtb

Big D sucks in the summertime. Well, actually, it sucks year round. 😜. Use to spend a couple of weeks there every summer with my cousins when we were kids. We’d go to Six Flags about every other day. They always had season passes.

Sorry your still stuck there, High Noon.
Hope your Father is doing better.

Only got to 106 here today. But we don’t have the humidity like y’all do.

Right at 100* earlier. Bad line of storms about to roll through so that should cool things down a bit. The a/c has been going pretty much full bore since noon.

No chiggers. Yet.

I ran into a patch of 'em a few years back near Abilene. I just had to run out in back of the barn to grab a couple of T-posts so I didn't dust down with sulfur - and they got me good. Even got me on the ballsac. It was miserable for a few weeks.

They're worse than poison ivy.

Thinkin' real hard about WY for the future. I hate this heat.

Thanks, Bud. Took my daughter down to Deep Ellum today to go to Adairs Saloon and then to get her a T-shirt and some Beignets. The heat was brutal, but it was a good time with the daughter and this made up for the heat:

I don't know how long I'll be here, but the heat and humidity takes a serious toll. At least in El Paso the humidity is very low and even when it's 107° it's not nearly as bad if you can find some shade. Big D is far worse. But the sun in EP is far more brutal than Dallas - probably due to the elevation.

Dad's about the same, but I'm afraid he hasn't much time. Thanks for asking.
