Traded into a 700 and noticed one of the mount screws wasn't seated all the way down in the countersink.
Removed scope, tightened screw and bolt wouldn't move. Too long of a screw.
The rear screw is fine, very front is fine other than being a slotted head vs allen head like the others.
I am needing 2 screws in the .240 length range for both front holes.
Only other requirement will be the head need to be .191-.195 to fit down in the countersink. Those 2 different numbers are the head diameter of the current screws.
Older Burris mount for what it's worth.

Call Burris or fill out their online form. Every time I have contacted them they have been extremely helpful. Most of their stuff has a lifetime warranty too.

It would as long as I can keep the end square.
But still doesn't fix the slotted mismatched screw head. Would like all of them to have the same head.

Brownells probably has what you need. I bet Leupold would send you a set for nothing if that’s the brand bases they are, ditto for Talley. I probably have what you need and you could have them for nothing if you were here local and not afraid to go root around in my 120deg shop.

Burris.
Heads seem pretty small compared to what is on today's stuff. Need that smallish diameter to fit down in the countersinks in base.
Going to call Burris tomorrow.

Just went down to the cave and rooted around a bit more.
Actually found a set of Talleys and was able to rob those screws.
Now I will need to call Talley and get some replacements on the way.

If "older Burris" equates to a STD (windage adjustable rear) mount, I'd replace it with something else and not spend any time tracking down screws to make it work.

It will eventually get a pair of DD bases and a set of Burris Signature DD rings but for the next little bit what I have will have to suffice.
