Yes, I consider their installation prices a ripoff. Reread the thread above by Moses and with that example you can see that $3500 is alot steeper than $350. So about $3150 for an easy days labor. If you are the least bit coordinated, do it yourself. JMHO Looks like I can order 200' at $260ish and DIY my gutters[hell even if it took me 2-3 days I'm many $'s ahead]

How do they work in winter in the North? Do they ice over and cause ice dams? My question also. I'm apparently invisible.

I live in Pa. & have not had a problem with the guards as opposed to bare gutters in the winter. I have also done my SIL's house and they have had no problems.

I don't remember any major issues with mine in winter. I did have a couple of icicles, as in exactly 2 last winter, but I'm in Southern Ohio

Depending on where.you live, some freeze over really easy and you're left with icicles of death hanging there. The house next to me has plastic gutter guard. With heavy snow, it will melt and form major ice. It can back up behind the gutters. I did not install gutter guard for that reason. I live in the northern tip of Virginia.

KGards are the best, unfortunately the only guy left installing them is a thief.
